I graduated from Columbia University in 1968 with a major in economic sociology,  After college I co founded a small printing.consulting enterprise, RedInk Productions.  After 30 years, I semi retired and closed the business.

I started Chapbooks,com in my semi retirement,.  We delivered 30 copies of a paperback book of student writing to classrooms in the United States. Chapbooks delivered to 2800 classrooms in a year. We had an offer of $1,000,000 from Houghton Mifflin before we had to close because of the dot.com bust.

Then 7 years teaching team building and production in a required course at Parsons The New School. The course was organized as project based learning.  As result of student led work, Xerox Corporation donated $70,000 worth of equipment to the Parsons Communication Design Department.  With the printing equipment as the core I founded the Parsons Communication Publishing Center as a centre for innovative use of Print combined with the Internet.

Today I am taking the experience of the Publishing Center to Africa to coach my partners to create Publishing Centers in their villages.   The long term vision is to find and use a scalable program to support the efforts of all the groups working on literacy training in Africa.  All of my partners are working to the limits of available resources to plant fruit trees.  As of today, May 20,2019, they have planted 320,000 fruit trees in their villages.  Going forward the vision is to plant 1,000,000 fruit trees.   The profits from their Village Publishing Centers support their tree planting and the other social programs they are implementing with their teams of paid employees as well as volunteers.

All of my advising/coaching/mentoring work is done exclusively via the Facebook platform.
