***Climate CoLab: Harnessing the power of collective intelligence to tackle global climate change

Climate CoLab is an online community of over 120,000 members, spanning over 170 countries worldwide, sourcing innovative approaches to addressing one of the world’s largest challenges: climate change. To date, this work has surfaced over 2400 proposals tackling different aspects of the climate issue, through more than 90 contests, reaching over 700,000 people from around the world.

Housed at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, Climate CoLab is developing cutting-edge methodologies for how online tools and crowds can help tackle a problem of this magnitude.  By constructively engaging a broad range of scientists, policy makers, business people, investors, and concerned citizens, we aim to gain more support for and participation in developing global climate change solutions and plans than would have been possible otherwise.
