Syed Ajijur Rahman has an excellent track record of publication and project implementation as part of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) efforts aimed to understand the socio-economic impacts of (agro)forestry since 2006. Syed is a sociologist by training and his expertise and primary research interests focus on the social impacts of agricultural and forestry projects, especially the ways to improve the adaptation techniques to increase tree cover in South and Southeast Asian agricultural landscapes, and newer methods and processes.
