Arghya Sinha Roy is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist (Climate Change Adaptation) at the Asian Development Bank. He has been working on disaster risk management in Asia countries since 2003. From 2004-2012, he worked with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center on strengthening capacities of countries to integrate disaster risk management considerations into development processes. Since 2012, Arghya has been working with the Asian Development Bank, in supporting the implementation of ADB’s disaster risk management policy and plan. Arghya is involved in projects related to urban disaster resilience, strengthening community disaster resilience; and post-disaster recovery. With a master degree in urban planning, Arghya’s specific interest includes strengthening disaster resilience in urban area and with a focus on communities.
