Dr. S K Pokhriyal was educated at University Of Delhi , India , Acen Zlatarov University, Bourgas, Bulgaria , and HNB Central University , Shrinagar, Uttrakhand, India. In 2017 Summer did a course in "International Environmental Governance , Policy and social Justice" at The Harvard University.

Dr. Pokhriyal is enthusiastic about management systems and Fundamental research, Energy Environmental Management & Trading, Operation & Maintenance of Oil, Gas, Refinery & Petrochemical Projects, CNG & City Gas Distribution. He has more than 33 Years of total experience [ NCL, Pune, BASF , Luke Refinery, Advani Orlekon, Flint Group, last 11 years with University of Petroleum and Energy Studies ] and is familiar with modern management techniques related to continual improvement having multifaceted experience in Talent Management, Policy, Planning & Conceptual Design, manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Strategic Management.

Mentoring individuals at all academic levels including MBA & PhD supervision. Areas of interests include Oil & Gas, Energy Economics, Corporate Strategy and Public Policy, New Management system, Risk Management, Energy Regulatory Policy, Energy Management & Trading, Teaching and Learning. A life long learner, recently taken interest in Eco-Theologist and believer in the eastern philosophy. Now a days I am passionate about Environmental issues and how one can use latest engineering technology, Social Science, Cultural and Historical lessons as aids to find solutions using local philosophical and professional epiphany and integrate diverse ideas on how to make this blue marble healthier than we currently find it.
