Mr. Mawufemo Modjinou is a Renewable Energy Expert thoroughly trained by Columbia University, Beuth Hochschule für Technik and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Apart from being procreative learner, Mr Mawufemo Modjinou also worked with the Energy Commission (EC) from 2008 to 2013. He was part of the team who installed and relocated 5 NRG 60m XHD Wind Masts (Ministry of Energy and Petroleum-GEDAP/EC) and 3 lattice 80m Wind Masts (Sunon-Asogli/Beijing ADC) at selected wind sites, and analysed wind resource data for Ghana. Mr. Mawufemo also assisted the Commission in the implementation of grid connected solar PV and wind electricity generating projects; development of Renewable Energy Act 2011, Act 832; development of Standards for Solar Systems and Licensing Manual for Renewable Energy Service Providers in the energy sector. He also assisted in the development of Renewable Energy GIS Maps and Toolkits for Renewable Energy Planning and Policy (REEEP/EC Project) for Ghana.
He is conversant with public and private sector operations as well as design and codes, standards, regulations and recommended practices applicable to the energy sector and gaining valuable experience in projects implementation in the energy sector in West Africa. Currently he is being trained in ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) for Certificate of Professional Achievement Program in Sustainable Energy from Columbia University, Mechanical Engineering Department, New York.
