As graduate student at the University of Iowa (1987), drafted proposal for university administration recommending that the State of Iowa should explore the feasibility of converting its power source from fossil fuel to wind and solar energy.
Since that time, I have advocated for wind and solar in a variety of settings and states. Ongoing interest in sustainability (based on principles advocated by Lester R. Brown and William McDonough), innovation and creative-problem solving. Writer, academic, government service, poet.
