Member Profile
In 2009, after taking a break from public sector environmental planning and non-profit management, I began to focus on climate change. In 2010, I co-founded 350 Sacramento with some friends and colleagues. www.350.sacramento.org. And as another colleague recently said, "Things are getting worse & worse, and better & better, faster and faster."
When not doing activities to encourage behaviours to reduce carbon footprints, and organizing to move political action for a price on carbon and changing financial investment practices I spend time with family and friends and as often as possible outdoors.
It's my view that addressing climate change is an endeavour of both the head and the heart. The heart tells us why and the head and physical body tell us how. As we let ourselves fall in love with not only the human endeavour, but the larger wholeness of which we are a member, we will find the means, in practical terms, to address the impacts of climate change on ourselves and on all of life. And to continue to express our creativity.
