I am a retired architect, wife, mother and grandmother. i have been active in fighting climate change for many years; early on trying to convince people to lower their carbon footprint by actions they can do at home (recycling, lowering thermostat, using a clothesline etc), then by making changes to their home's energy usage by bying electricity produced by windmills, insulating their homes, and adding solar panels. I now realize that these small accommodations have little effect on the enormity of the problems. We must stop using fossil fuels altogether. the solution is to put a price on carbon, making fossil fuel producers pay the full cost of their pollution. A revenue neutral carbon fee and dividend is the best way to go in our current political climate. one which eschews all tax increases.
