Maxwell T. Boykoff is Fellow in the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado, and an Assistant Professor teaching in Environmental Studies, while serving as Adjunct Faculty in Geography. Max is also a Senior Visiting Research Associate in the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. Max’s ongoing interests include climate adaptation, cultural politics and environmental governance, and science-policy interactions. He has worked in North America, Central America, South Asia, and Europe. His research has concentrated on (1) issues in the cultural politics of climate change, and (2) transformations of carbon-based economies and societies.
