Pitch

Stores chill products that don't require it. We can reduce GHG's by lobbying business and policy makers to only chill perishables.

Description

Summary

We can lobby business and government to implement policies that discourage the constant chilling of items that don't require it; bottled water, cola products, jarred food.

This would lower GHG emissions associated with chilling and lower operating costs for business.

Is this proposal for a practice or a project?

Practice

What actions do you propose?

Ensure only products that need it are chilled. This is "low hanging fruit".

Who will take these actions?

Business - oil companies and their gas stations

Governments - Implement legislation

People - Don't buy chilled products.

Where will these actions be taken?

Actions can be taken at every store and gas station that needlessly chills products on the planet. The goal is to eliminate chilling almost entirely but this is a good step towards that end goal.

In addition, specify the country or countries where these actions will be taken.

Canada

Country 2

United States

Country 3

No country selected

Country 4

No country selected

Country 5
