Finalist Evaluation

Judges'' comments

The idea is interesting and quite novel. The proposal is also clear and appealing. However, it is questionable on whether using these pollutants in a different way really solves anything, as they are still technically pollutants.

The author did not take into account the judge comments and neither was the proposal improved. It still lacks quantitative analysis and a clearly articulated business model. In particular, more information is needed on how the ink gets collected and what is done with it once it is collected. Is it dumped or resold? What is the revenue generated from sales if any?

The proposal is clear and appealing. However, it lacks more quantitative analysis and a more persuasive business model. In particular more information is needed on the product, on the cost/benefits analysis and the quantitative effect on the air key pollutant elements. It would be suggested to have a small case testing project to make a more compelling case for a real market test.

More detail is needed on the ink/paint product. It is a secondary benefit, but if it is key to the business model then it should be more clearly laid out or consider removing it. The cleaning system itself seems novel enough! Market testing is key key key. Are customers willing to pay? why do they care? If the target / initial market is India then substantial testing should be done there.
