By the film to collect the overflowing methane gas on the frozen land, the gas will be compressed liquefaction and become energy.

One of the most direct effects of climate warming is to cause perennial permafrost to melt and permafrost has started to release sealed methane. Methane is one of the main culprits of global warming, and its greenhouse effect is more 25 times than carbon dioxide. In such a shallow sea, the methane issued by the melting of the permafrost will escape directly into the atmosphere without oxidation, resulting in a more severe greenhouse effect. Siberian methane if a large number of gushing, the global warming will get out of control, climate disaster will be out of control. A part of the western Siberian formation, about one million square kilometers of permafrost, recently began to melt into a muddy and shallow lake covered with broken terrain, some mud and shallow lake diameter even more than one kilometer.

The permafrost region is the world's largest mud coal field. This piece of coalfield had been in the production of methane since the end of the ice age of eleven thousand years ago and accumulated in the form of crystal compound. University of California, Los Angeles, Smith estimates that methane may be up to 70 billion tons. It is almost equivalent a quarter of the world's soil methane in the stock.

This project is intended to the above problems, proposed a way to prevent the melting of methane caused by melting of the frozen soil.

This project puts forward a method for collecting frozen soil spilled from methane and liquefying storage. Multi-layer soft membrane covering the frozen soil, the upper with the bag to suppress and form a channel to guide the overflow gas pool, and then transmit gas to the compressed liquefaction treatment center by the natural pressure or negative pressure.

What actions do you propose?

1. Spilling from the land

At the end of 2014, Siberia's Yamal Peninsula sudden fame. The spectacular mysterious doline on the permafrost in the area has sparked speculation about the large amount of greenhouse gases - methane entering the atmosphere. This incident gave rise to a large number of methane from the western Yamaha Peninsula offshore into the atmosphere, involving an area of 500 square meters. Methane pressure extends to form a water column of 25 m high. A considerable amount of methane is present in the permafrost of Siberia, and this permafrost is melting.

2. Spilling from the water

3. Spilling at the junction of land and water

4. Theoretical Analysis

5. Take measures on this project

Frozen soil covering facilities include pressure bags and covered membranes, covering the permafrost layer, and the collector ports are connected to the gas gathering ducts.

The permafrost-covered facility has a multilayer flexible material comprising at least a lower reinforcing fibrous material layer, a cementitious material layer, a sealing resin material layer and a blastomeric layer.

Methane collection piping system, including large interval between the suppression of pressure bags and inter-compartment split pressure bags, radial collection of pressure bags, gas collection export and gas collection pipe.

A methane recovery system for the recovery of permafrost due to the melting of permafrost, comprising the following: permafrost-capping facilities; repressing devices for covered facilities; methane collection devices; methane pipelines; pressurizing device, methane condensing device, and methane storage and transportation device.

Who will take these actions?

2. Energy agency

3. Arctic national governments.

What impact will these actions have on greenhouse gas emissions and/or adapting to climate change?

1. Avoidaccelerating the greenhouse effect. To avoid global warming out of control!

Studies have shown that the greenhouse effect of methane is 25 times that CO2, which would be a very serious problem, and it meant that very little methane reached the same effect as a large amount of CO2 in the global greenhouse.

2. Acceleration leads to out of control: As the temperature rises, the release rate of methane itself will increase, which is an acceleration effect,

3. Forecasting and research become uncertain: we have been using CO2 ppm to quantify CO2 emissions, and now, more methane is produced, and the effect is more 25 times than CO2, which also makes the global climate prediction model becomes complicated.

What are other key benefits?

1. Low-cost collection of natural gas, the development of new energy extraction methods. Adoption of new technologies and systems to mine surface natural gas.

Dutch and British scientists have concluded that if Arctic permafrost melts and releases a significant amount of methane, the global warming trend will intensify as of 2200 and will lead to an economic loss of $ 60 trillion of the worldwide. The Scientists warn that "greenhouse gas methane is a time bomb," "the danger of global warming far more than the short-term benefits of mining resources."

2. The cost of mining will be higher than ordinary natural gas extraction, but its natural gas will have carbon sequestration value and more 25 times than the same amount of carbon dioxide.

What are the proposal’s projected costs?

As a new energy development project, its costs include:

1, cover the cost of the film

2, pressed bags

3, Pipeline

4, compressed liquefaction system

5, transport system

1. Demonstration: 6mohths
