This idea of sharing resources beyond the 'usual suspects' and in particular to build upon the tools that are out there. This provides the proposal with a strong foundation. However, there is no clear plan on implementation. Can this can be better articulated for the next iteration: the steps for how to rollout this tool and outreach, etc is necessary to demonstrate the feasibility of this project?

It is an interesting idea and aims at building on earlier work. Could look for ways to adapt this prior work in novel ways, since adaptation most often requires thinking outside the box.

Access to such a database would give us all a better set of tools for investigating what has already been proposed or implemented.

It seems like the problem being addressed by this proposal (i.e. connecting planners and stakeholders who are developing adaption strategies) is already being addressed through the wiki-based platform weADAPT, which "allows practitioners, researchers and policy makers to access credible, high quality information and to share experiences and lessons learnt." cpslough -- Thanks for your comment and we definitely agree that the tool would help practitioners learn from each other and support adaptation strategy development as an evolutionary process that gets better and learns from past actions.
Idrose -- Thank you for your comments. There are a few portals already available for practitioners to share information such as weADAPT and CAKE. We have found with our work in communities that the municipal employees who are developing adaptation and resilience strategies for their community rarely have the time and resources to look through these portals and read the high level case studies or full reports. The Resilience Action Network focuses specifically on the adaptation strategy level (with links for more information)so that the practitioners do not have to sort through all dozens or hundreds of reports to find strategies that will work for them. In moving towards mainstreaming climate resilience into planning this is a necessary steps that helps translate all the information that is being learned about adaptation into action.

We need more shared information exchanges like this, however:
1) This needs more details on implementation
2) Why couldn't this work better as a forum on an existing platform such as LinkedIn, Google or Facebook?

Thank you for your vote for our proposal and for the recommendation and encouragement.
There is no reason that the Resilience Action Network couldn't interface or connect with existing platforms such as LinkedIn or Facebook. However, we don't think these platforms are the right place to host and maintain a robust and detailed database of adaptation strategies.
