Description
Municipalities that measure and submit their total geographic carbon footprint, including human and nonhuman net carbon emission receive a submission certification - once the data is verified by a certifying agency.
Submission Certification is annual: communities must continue to measure net footprint each year to keep their cetification.
Grades -"gold silver and bronze solution partner" - are dependent on meeting restorative standards for that community, based on a three-line curve set by the certifying body along with the national government. If the national government has not committed to a credible ghg reduction targets, the certifying body gives an independent assessment of what that curve should be.
Some years the municpality may make it, other years, not. For instance, Gold partner 2012, Silver partner 2013, Bronze partner 2016, Silver partner 2017
