How can we scale-up sustainable landscape management to significantly reduce GHG emissions while ensuring food, water, and energy security?

At present, agriculture, livestock and deforestation are responsible for 20-30% of global emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs). Opportunities exist, however, for land uses to be capable of reducing or sequestering significant amounts of carbon from the atmosphere, as well as create more productive and resilient landscapes that increase food security, water availability and energy supply, and support growing incomes. This contest seeks proposals on sustainable land management practices that can be rapidly implemented and brought to scale, in order to significantly address the challenges of climate and global change.

Using green economic growth to create scalable, replicable financial incentives for the sustainable management of forest landscapes.
Bamboo grows in most soils, environments, climate with minimal tillage, input, care and naturally purifies the air we breath.
Come help us transform illegal charcoal makers into solar powered park rangers in the Virunga National Park in the DR Congo!
An online platform for finance and forest management will be further developed to facilitate private investment into sustainable forestry.
Via numerous extremely efficient urban farms, community members gain access to local fresh food while reducing their carbon footprint.

Collect fruit seeds with students help, grow fruit trees everywhere, distribute fruits free, request to save seeds & use next year
This case study presents the Agri-horticulture system of “Pistachio-Rose-Saffron” including the drought-resistant and native species, as one of the addressing solutions. This climate-smart practice would be a kind of family farming system, in which farmers can harvest and make income two times a year from Rose (Rosa damascenamill L.) and Saffron (Crocus sativus) during the first three years, and three times a year from all components including Pistachio, after the fourth year of cultivation.
The idea is to combat climate change together with common people's participation in reducing GHGs level from the atmosphere.
Crowd-sourced, app-driven, global effort moving carbon from the air into the soil which regenerates soil and boosts agriculture & ranching
Melting Arctic Permafrost represents fundamental threat to global climate. Restoring “Mammoth Steppe” could help.
ATP's CRBBP Process cost-effectively remediates and/or stabilizes challenged soils, while producing lower-cost and beneficial bio-products.
Chemosynthetic production of biomass offers soil improvements, water reclamation and a CO2 Neg. Fuel Scenario. Industrial Scale Permaculture
Ecological/Economic KEYS to GHGs balance, quick scale productivity, resilience, food security, water availability, energy supply and income
Healing our soils will restore vitality in all life forms.
Resilient agriculture with HCC saves land, protects crops, future-proofs farming, saves water & converts CO2 to O2 + biomass/food. Cool.
A low-cost, low-technology way of sequestering atmospheric carbon on a global scale with the tools we are already using.
Give financial incentives to grow crops in the Southwest that are climate-suitable in order to help water replenishment
While new equipment is much more efficient than it was 20-30 years ago, making multiple passes through a field creates more GHGs
Households represent the end source of consumerism, where food and other resources are waste. What if they were channelled to be resources?
Providing locals alternative to forest exprolation via home gradens will keep our forest and increase their ablity to clean our environment
a patir de algunos desechos que deja producir algunos productos, se realizara un concentrado rico en proteinas para los rumiantes.
Ecological land use management and integrated land use design through permaculture approach is critical in building sustainable villages.
Soils management and agriculture practices can be utilized to sequester atmospheric carbon back into soils.

Flood relief, reforestation and reclamation of arid lands.
Making healthy nutritious supplements easy even in places where there is no soil or is uncultivable.
Use energy from thin film solar panels installed inside a greenhouse to help power LEDs used to grow food with stacked hydroponics systems.
On 2012, the Vorniceni Village Council, Moldova, approved a decision for the purpose of arranging of a square.
