Samuel Rigu is an environmental conscious agribusiness manager, a social entrepreneur and an innovator who studied Agribusiness management from The University of Nairobi Kenya. Samuel grew up in rural Kenya, where he witnessed first-hand the challenges of rural farmers such as his grandmother and neighbors for accessing affordable, high-yield fertilizer, and resolved to solve this problem. Samuel co-founded Safi Organics in 2015 a company that uses technology to convert farmers’ crop waste to high yielding organic fertilizers. He works full-time on the company as the Chief Executive Officer. Currently, he is based in Kenya, managing a team of employees and expanding the customer base. With over 6 years of hands-on experience in management and entrepreneurship, brings a wholesome in-depth understanding of the Africa entrepreneurial ecosystem. Samuel also previously co-founded a prior company in Kenya that sold more than one million mosquito coils to a large distributor. He previously worked with Takachar as a country director and the Turning Point Trust Farm, where he implemented various organic practices and turned the farm’s finances from loss to profit in a matter of 6 months.
