Member Profile
Dr. Allroggen's research interests are focused on the economic evaluation of the societal costs and benefits of transportation networks, especially with regard to air transportation. In particular, he is interested in quantifying the environmental footprint of aviation as well as the economic benefits of air transport connectivity while accounting for the spatio-temporal variations of the net societal impacts. His research also considers the appraisal of policy measures, which aim at the mitigation of aviation’s environmental footprint or at encouraging economic development through improved air transport connectivity. Additionally, he is working on economic and econometric analyses of (air) transport markets in general.Originally from Germany, Dr. Allroggen completed doctoral studies at the Institute of Transport Economics at Muenster University. Before joining LAE as a Research Scientist, I have been a member of LAE as a Postdoctoral Associate and I have worked as a Consultant for McKinsey&Company.
