Betsy Agar is a research manager at Simon Fraser University’s Centre for Dialogue and is a founding member of the Renewable Cities program. She oversees the program’s research, collaborates with global colleagues working to accelerate the growing 100 percent renewable energy movement, and designs dialogues aimed at exposing barriers to implementation. Bringing her building science expertise together with her love of old cities, Betsy views rehabilitation as an opportunity to make urban “ecosystems” hubs of sustainability and anchors of communities’ sense of place.
