As Lead Inventor of the Aerobic Landfill Bioreactor System (ALBS), he directs all related planning, research, and field applications, as well as leads advanced landfill cell design, waste mining projects, where applicable, and climate change initiatives. In 2009, he was Lead Technical Advisor & Joint Venture (JV) Signatory to Tsinghua University (Beijing), and since 2013, an Advisor to 16-Billion RMB ($230 M) central downtown redevelopment initiative in Changchun.
