Born in Lima, Peru, in 1947. Studied business and economics in Peru, followed by journalism and mass communications in the USA. Have worked in trade promotion and development virtually all of my professional life, first in Peru and then (for 30 years) at an international organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. Now retired, and currently living in France. Strong interest in issues concerning the environment, social inequality, sustainable development and the global democratic deficit.
