Member Profile
I'm from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and I recently completed my Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. My research focuses on modeling the impacts of aviation policy on the environment. I use and help develop a model called ‘The Aviation environmental Portfolio Management Tool – Impacts’ which models how aircraft noise and emissions cause environmental and societal damages. I look at how US policies and international regulations affect expected damages from air quality degradation, noise pollution, and climate change on different temporal and geographic scales. Analyses I have been involved in include assessing the impact of an increase in the stringency of global aviation NOx emissions regulations and the impact of changes in aircraft noise regulations.
