Dan Arons, AIA, LEED AP is a principal at Perkins Eastman Architects.  He is recognized for his collaborative approach, energy systems expertise, and exacting attention to detail.  With degrees in architecture and building technology, Dan offers extensive experience with major projects of many building types that have benefited from his unique cross-training.  His strengths include sustainable strategies, building systems and energy analysis, building envelope detailing, architectural specifications, and construction administration.

Dan chaired the Boston Society of Architects' Committee on the Environment, and helped establish the BSA Board's Committee for the Advancement of Sustainability.  Dan taught sustainable design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, juried the Boston Society of Architects Sustainable Design Award program and the AIA Vermont Design Awards, and is a frequent presenter on sustainable design topics.  He also served as a member of Massachusetts Governor's Green Roundtable.

Dan earned a B.Arch. from University of Minnesota, and an M.S. degree in Building Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which awarded him the Marvin E. Goody Award for Architectural Practice & Design Research.
