UpGyres works to prevent harmful plastic waste from reaching the oceans and to give people back the use of a healthy marine environment.

We are part of a big alliance to tackle this issue and to find and implement solutions and get all the parties involved (fashion, textile and professional cleaning industries, washing machine manufacturers and consumers) as we believe that we are all part of the problem and we should work together to solve it.

UpGyres is working to establish a closed loop system to stop washing machine waste from being discharged in the sewage system and recover the resources discarded in laundry (washing and dryer machines) lint.
