Farah Shamolian is the Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief at The Skribe Magazine, a new magazine by and for young Jewish professionals in Los Angeles. With a Masters in public health and a concentration in community health sciences, Farah's key areas of expertise include community engagement, disease prevention, health promotion, and global development. Farah has applied her passion of community engagement in the U.S. as well as in international countries, such as, India, Israel, and Haiti. More recently, Farah has co-founded The Jewish Iranian Women's Foundation (JIWF), a new non-profit initiative aimed at cultivating connection, perspective, wisdom, and mentorship for women committed to living healthy Jewish lives. Farah is also a 2015 AJWS Global Justice Fellow, serving as an advocate for U.S. policies and campaigns with the goal to improve the lives of people in the developing world. Farah is a graduate of UCLA and holds a B.A. in Women's Studies. She earned a graduate degree from The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She comes from a family of 5 siblings, and has a dog named Babou. Farah is native of Tarzana, California.
