Dr. Adams has researched climate change mitigation solutions for the past 12 years and published findings on the Awesome Library (www.awesomelibrary.org) website. He is working with the US Forest Service, biochar specialists, farmers, researchers, soil and water specialists, and others to design and implement a comprehensive plan to reduce climate change. In short, the method is to prevent decaying organic matter from emitting excessive CO2 into the air and, instead, to carbonize it and place the solid carbon produced, biochar, in the soil in order to improve the soil while reducing the effects of climate change.
