Medical practitioner concerned about Global Warming. I was in the top 1% of South Australia in Year 12 physics & second in the state in Chemistry. Nuclear physics and chemistry are sisters because atomic number, protons neutrons and electrons that are important.I very briefly flirted with the anti-nuclear group in 1977. They were handing out stickers “The Peaceful Atom Kills”. I thought it sounded like a good idea and put one on my briefcase. But I very quickly came to understand that the anti-nuclear movement was completely unscientific. I thought I had the knowledge to understand the matter in great detail and when I analysed the detail, it was impossible to make a plausible argument that there was a serious danger in nuclear energy. Even in 1977, it was clear that global warming was on the horizon.
