Sachin has more than seven years of professional experience which includes working as a R&D Staff at U.S. DOE's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Sachin provides technical support to DOE's Better Buildings, Better Plants Program Partners through energy road map development, baselining analysis, In-Plant Trainings, field visits to investigate feasible measures to reduce process energy requirements. Sachin assists DOE's international activities through technical program management support, planning and development of tools and materials. He has conducted several training and demonstration workshops throughout Brazil, China, Costa Rica, India, and Turkey covering energy efficiency in process heating systems, DOE's system specific and cross-cutting energy audits, and ISO 50001 implementation steps and tools. Sachin has achieved the "Qualified Specialist" recognition in using three key DOE energy efficiency software tools - the Process Heating Assessment and Survey Tool (PHAST), the Steam System Assessment Tool (SSAT), and the Pump System Assessment Tool (PSAT). Sachin recieved his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Pune, India, and M.S. and PhD degrees again in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, New Jersey.
