Daniel is an Environmental Engineering Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Irvine. His research focus is on renewable energy integration optimization in developing countries, with a focus in Latin America. Daniel's goal is to develop a renewable energy integration model that presents a more full picture of energy infrastructure decisions, including technical, economic, environmental and health costs. Daniel has a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Irvine, and a B.A. in Mathematics-Economics as well as a Technology Entrepreneurship Certification from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In between undergraduate and graduate studies, Daniel spent 4 years working with a hi-tech startup in the IT industry focused on automation and energy efficiency.
