Director of Strategy & Operations for RepublicEn.org and The Energy and Enterprise Initiative at George Mason University 

Alex leads strategy, policy, and educational programming for republicEn.org, an "eco-right" grassroots community of conservatives advancing the principles of free-enterprise climate action. RepublicEn.org is a project of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative at George Mason University, which Alex helped to launch in 2012. He's spoken about climate solutions at over a hundred events with conservative groups across the country. Prior to his work growing the eco-right movement in America, Alex spent four years as an entrepreneur developing rural energy projects in East Africa as well as consulting on energy and climate policy for think tanks, consultancies, and the World Bank. From 2010-2016, Alex designed e-learning courses on energy policy and environmental economics, and facilitated these courses to thousands of government officials and energy-industry practitioners in developing countries. As a youngster, he worked on federal and gubernatorial campaigns for conservative candidates. Alex holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MSc from the University of Oxford.
