I am currently an apprentice youth worker in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Through my youth work I promote the idea of debate and participation in decision making around environmental issues. I have been an activist for the last 8 years; since I was 15 years old I have campaigned for environmental and social justice on issues from around the world, Ireland and my local community. (wherever that is at the time!) I previously studied at the Irish Centre for Human Rights as part of an undergraduate degree, although due to becoming pregnant with my daughter I was unable to return for my final year. Despite this, I have embraced the change and now I intend to make the word a better place for my little girl to grow up in. I use my activism and campaigning as a mechanism to achieve social justice for her and for so many other children around the world who deserve a better planet than we a currently on route to leaving them.
