ARJUN P. GUPTA is passionate about building high-quality and cost-effective infrastructure to deliver infrastructure services reliably and sustainably. In his current role assisting the Executive Chairman of Jaypee Group, Arjun is involved with a number of waste, renewable energy, energy efficiency and other cost optimization-related projects across sectors such as cement, real estate, power and fertilizers. Previously, Arjun was a Project Developer at Harvest Power, a leader in processing organic wastes across North America, where he was involved in the origination and development of anaerobic digestion and composting projects. Arjun has worked on energy efficiency projects at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and on hydro power and expressway projects in India. He has also worked at the World Resources Institute and the Carbon War Room in Washington, DC. He got his Master’s degree from the Technology and Policy Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he researched public-private partnerships as a way of delivering infrastructure services in India. While at MIT, Arjun was part of a start-up company converting plastic waste to liquid fuels and served as the Marketing Director for the 2011 MIT Energy Conference. Arjun graduated from the University of California – Berkeley with Highest Honors from the College of Engineering and Highest Distinction in General Scholarship from the College of Letters and Sciences.
