Nabil Hourani, P.E., is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with HNTB Corp. in the Boston, MA offices. He has been the Project Engineer and Lead Designer/Reviewer on several Infrastructure and Transportation projects. Nabil was the State Geotechnical Engineer for the Massachusetts Highway Department (MassHighway).

He has more than 25 years of national and international experience in Civil Engineering and Geotechnology (Foundation design, construction, and monitoring). He has been responsible of major geotechnical design and cost/contracting issues working closely with Federal and State agencies, and the Private Sector.

Nabil is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he taught courses on Advanced Foundation Engineering, Geosynthetics, Soil Behavior, and Ground Improvement Methods.

He has been an invited lecturer at several seminars in the US and abroad and is a registered professional engineer in MA. He was the year 2008-2009 Chair of the Geo-Institute of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES)
