I am currently working as Technical Advisor for the Koshi Basin Programme with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) based in Kathmandu, Nepal. At ICIMOD, I am focusing on a rapid freshwater ecosystem assessment in the Tibet Autonomous Region’s Koshi River basin part. Previously, I worked as Program Manager at the Pendeba Society of the Tibet Autonomous Region where I was in charge of projects that promoted environmental conservation and community development in the Mt Everest region. I also worked as Associate Program Facilitator at the Mekong Institute, an inter-governmental organization based in Khon Kaen, Thailand, where I conducted thorough research on cross-border agricultural business along the North-South Economic Corridor from China to Thailand through Laos. I also have working experience with Yunnan Provincial Environmental Protection Department and the World Resources Institute (WRI) on various environmental projects funded by bilateral government agreements and multinational development organizations. I hold a degree in international relations from Peking University in China and graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with a Master’s Degree in Global Environmental Policy concentrating on environmental economic policies and international environmental cooperation.
