Harsh is a candidate for Master of Public Administration, concentrating on Energy and Environment. He studied at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, concentrating on power generation and transmission, and interned at General Electric Global Research Center. Harsh started his career as an engineer in oil and gas industry in India and abroad.
He has five years of work experience in diverse set of roles in the energy industry. Prior to joining SIPA, he worked with Abdul Lateef Jameel Poverty Action Lab on a randomized controlled trial to design and impact industrial energy efficiency policies in India. He also helped establish a start-up social enterprise, Husk Power Systems, for rural electrification in off-grid location of India using distributed power generation. Harsh is passionate about understanding, and exploring solutions to energy security in the context of developing countries.
