Wheat, corn, soybean, pasture and hay rotation.  Wish to convert  acreage (200 acres) to woody perennials in alley cropping system over time while maintaining sheep flock.  Woodlot and hedgerows while currently thick with ash trees force us to evaluate our replacement options as ash slowly die because of emerald ash borer. Believe woody perennials are part of restauration agriculture and are a means of reducing damage done by the long term production of annuals only.  Our former Great Lakes lowland biome is fully compatible with a polyculture based on woody perennials with hazels, chestnut and other nut trees. Eastern Ontario, Canada.
