Dr. Matthew J Moynihan has been working in fusion for 9 years as a researcher and advocate. He hold a PhD, MS in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester, Laboratory for Laser Energetics. He holds a BS in chemical engineering and a minor in mathematics from the University at Buffalo. His PhD thesis was chaired by Dr. Ricardo Betti, winner of the 2012 Ernest O Lawrence Award and 2009 Edward Teller Medal. From 2006 to 2013, he was a Horton Fellow working on subsystems for the National Ignition Facility at Lawrence Livermore National Labs.
In 2009, he founded The Polywell Blog - a source for information, analysis and context for the polywell and related fusion research. He is the author of 35 posts, over a dozen films and has networked the idea across 29 web platforms. He has over 1.3 million Google+ views and has spoken on fusion topics to a wide range of stakeholders.
