I'm a dedicated community environmental activist.  I currently serve on and am the former chair of the Climate Protection Action Committee in Cambridge, a City Manager appointed advisory committee of stakeholders, advising the city on climate change action, including mitigation and adaptation responses.

I also serve as President of Green Cambridge, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the environment and enhancing Cambridge's sustainability, including combating climate change. I was one of the leaders pushing for a Net Zero Emissions initiative in 2013, which became the City Manager appointed Net Zero Task Force, a one year task force working on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings in the city to zero.

Since 2013 I also serve as the Executive Director of the Climate Action Business Association (CABA), a new organization of small, local businesses, based in Boston. CABA works to help its member businesses be more sustainable, be more effective advocates for policy changes needed to combat climate change, and be more active community members in our collective response to climate change.

I'm a board member of Better Future Project, a non-profit dedicated to a future free of fossil fuels and climate change, and the sponsor organization for 350 Massachusetts.

I'm the co-founder and past CEO of Excelimmune, a biopharmaceutical company that develops human antibodies against infectious disease targets. Prior to founding Excelimmune, I served as the CTO of software startup Clickmarks, developing innovative web and mobile software applications. I began mu career as a software engineer at IBM where I co-invented the SyncML data synchronization standard.

I have a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and two bachelor’s degrees in the fields of mathematics and computer science from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I live in Cambridge with my wife and two children.
