Briana is a Southern California native who has been living in British Columbia, Canada for the past 7 years. She was certified in Permaculture Design in 2011 by Verge Permaculture while working at an alternative education/retreat center. She has traveled farms and sustainability projects in California, Costa Rica and Canada since and started her own project: Future Rustic Design. Briana's professional background is in landscape painting, graphic/web design, teaching and coaching. A former junior Olympic swimmer, she is now a back-country explorer and deep powder snowboarder. Briana is married to a builder, brewer and farmer; they live happily together with their dog Billie on an acreage in Nelson, B.C.
