The proposal would require a feasibility study to justify whether it could be really implemented or not. Further elements should be provided to improve the proposal and ensure its feasibility.
This is a very innovative proposal and represents a possible pathway to some of the big changes that need to take place on a global scale to cool the planet and protect biodiversity. The proposal would be strengthened by a more realistic assessment of the political, social and economic barriers to the proposed LMF and currency. While not feasible in today's environment, it is a commendable proposal for thinking outside of the box.
This is an ambitious proposal and would undoubtedly accrue many benefits if implemented in the spirit of the proposal. However, this is not practical. At least not in developing countries. In fact, even developed countries would find implementing this proposal very challenging. Not sure if UNSG would recommend setting up, or even if it did the IMF would, a division called the Life Monetary Fund through this initiative – great idea but not feasible in the given conditions.
