We provide clean energy for urban buildings for heating and cooling using Tap water and additional energy tools and reduce GHG emissions.

Description

Summary / Résumé

The company aims to address the market of reducing heating and cooling costs in addition to providing resilience to customers. We do this in a unique manner by utilizing the pressure of tap water, thereby saving customers huge heating and cooling costs annually. This is an effort to enable buildings be energy centers and reduce their GHG emissions.

The product and its solution is based on solid engineering principles and we learnt from nature to innovate, design and develop this product. As we worked on its designs, we considered its market viability and brought in the right materials to build. The product uses tap water flowing from the main line to a residential building for heating and cooling or the heavy water user industry like brewery or power plant. They require cooling which our system provides, without additional energy resources. . We utilize unused water pressure for heating and cooling and saving customers their money.

The commercial and communities market size in North America is close to 6 million homes that requires either heating or cooling or both. As our system has very low annual costs compared to existing electric and natural gas systems, we are eager to capture this market and also enable transition of exiting systems to ours as the customers go for a change. The initial adopters would be heavy water users in industries and residential homes with high energy bills.

We are looking at initial pilots for this system in Toronto and Montreal with manufacturing in Canada and USA

What actions do you propose? / Quelles actions proposez-vous?

We anticipates initial startup costs of $750,000 for the initial prototype integrations, legal and infrastructure startup costs, other US certifications as required like UL and CSA. Our further expenses would be to cultivate pilot customers and we would be funding this phase with VCs and impact investing institutions support. We would also be seeking additional round of funding to enable us to commercialize and go-to-the market.

We are looking to breakeven in two years and support growth with customer acquisitions and anticipate an IPO or company sale to grow and bring value to our investors. We would also be working with utilities and bring them into our ecosystem as the world moves toward a smart grid – smart city environment with a circular economy approach.

Our team for the North America  market would be brought on board with experienced managers and personnel who would add value and grow the company. Our vision is to enable millions of homes and commercial businesses to use clean water based energy for low-cost space heating and cooling, improving resilience during extreme weather and events.

We are keen to provide prospective customers through our company and its product, the opportunity to save money spent now on heating and cooling of their buildings which accounts to nearly 40%  of energy costs in North America. We do this by using the unused water pressure from water lines coming into buildings. To achieve our vision and profitably grow this billion dollar opportunity, we are seeking investors who would gain financially in few multiples and bring value to their investments..

Our Company is in startup phase and we are presently working on protecting our Intellectual property, before we go in for pilots on a larger scale. We focus on providing space heating and cooling to buildings using untapped energy from water lines coming into buildings. As heating and cooling costs are major part of building expenses, savings on these costs, which run into a few thousands over a 10 year period, would benefit the owners and customers.

Which types of stakeholders are involved, in which way? / Quels types de parties prenantes sont impliqués, de quelle façon?

Our Strategy is to develop leadership positions in North America with our product platform which neither GE nor United Technologies have as conglomerates, their systems being grid electricity or natural gas dependent. We bring more value to the customers and we could be an acquisition target for these big companies. As we are taking advantage of the water pressure at the customers end - like a water hose for home car wash, we would be subjected to fewer regulations hopefully and this would enable us to grow our market and its market share. We are keen to increase our market foot print as the same product platform with accessories can be extended in the near future from automated snow removal to fire protection to distributed electricity for buildings.

We would be selecting key eco-system partners from Architects and Builders to Installers and trained service specialists for local service and support. This strategy of low cost maintenance and good customer service support would bring us value and repeat customers, enabling us to extend our product platform in their buildings.

We plan is to directly sell and also have distributors who would provide service through our trained programs. We would be focused on long term relationships with our customers as we would like to add value to heating and cooling with other autonomous and protective solutions using the same platform. We plan to bring on board a Director of Sales to manage Canada, USA and Mexico and enable overseeing regional sales districts and sales coordination efforts. We also plan to have business development teams working with partner firms to grow profitably. .

How could the actions be scaled up at the neighborhood or city level? / Comment serait-il possible d'augmenter la portée des actions à l'échelle des quartiers ou de la ville?

We have this system that scales up from a single residential building to he city level and provides local hydro and community hydro using tap water that flows into all urban buildings and provides heating and cooling at the local building level and electricity at the community level which is green and encompasses the circular economy approach of using tap water and also enhance its usage to meet the energy needs locally

Our potential customers are heavy water users like breweries, smart industrial cooling customers – who would also be our repeat customers for other related solutions that we offer. The other segment of customers are single and multi family homes and apartments who spend a huge amount on heating and cooling costs which vary with increasing fuel costs. We plan to target homes with no heating in cold regions as the state and federal governments support them with weatherization packages. We would provide them with space heating and cooling with least annual costs.  We would then extend the target markets to large commercial and government buildings.

What impact will these actions have on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change? / Quels impacts auront ces actions sur la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et l'adaptation aux changements climatiques?

This system supports the circular economy and reduces urban buildings GHG emissions by more than 40% in every city when installed in homes and commercial establishments having running tap water.

The Product and the Solution we offer, taps into water system which normally provides water into every building. As the water is used for drinking and other daily use purposes, we utilize the non-drinking portion of water available at a pressure with our product. Our engineering product multiplies the available pressure a few times to provide us the revolutions per minute we require to create an air surge. This surge provides the space heating and cooling with storage.

The pressure energy available at the customer’s urban doorsteps is utilized and at a community level for used for distributed power generation. We would be building a network of support teams and partners to provide installation and maintenance of these systems to benefit the customers.
