The Judges thought that this proposal outlined an interesting concept.
It was noted that the proposal would be strengthened by additional information regarding whether the concept has been tested. For example, is it sufficient to cool in the cycle after the explosion? Does the explosion mean that different materials are needed for casing?
The proposal would also be strengthened by some estimate of the fuel burn for the new engine, and how this compares to existing engines, especially reciprocating engines, hybrids and electric engines.
