Is there a functional prototype pod yet?  Have the drive system details been worked out?

Has the power architecture been worked out for solar as far as how big the pod battery is and how power will be distributed in the rail for solar?  Any grid tie plans or will it be isolated?  Will the initial pilot projects be pod power only?  In case of pod power failure, will other pods be able to "push" it ahead to the nearest station?

Gary, thanks for your questions.

The drive system has been fully designed and a scale prototype along with a fully parametric CAD model.  We have built dozens of scale model prototypes, along with a functional scale model and full-size mockup.  There are integration tasks, but the design has been throughly reviewed by a multi-billion dollar global engineering firm who will be submitting fixed price contracts for the final development, certification, installation, and operations.

The power architecture is worked out to a first approximation.  We are looking to work with a micro-grid solutions provider to engineer the final system. The battery is only 15 pounds which allows it to operate for 2 hours over the peak period. We see no need for a "powered rail". Power from the solar is only locally stored in batteries inside the poles and pods are charged off-peak hours. In most cases, there will be a tie to the grid so that the storage can be used to offset peak demand.  All pods can push and pull other pods.

This is good idea. But, I am sad enough that Indonesia is not included in your targeted countries. While in Indonesia we enjoy sunlight throughout the year, it is very potentialfor solar-powered mass transportation like Transit X. Hope you can revise it, LOL...

We see enormous potential for most countries around the world including Indonesia. There were only a limited number of regions to select. I would be glad to create a proposal for any city. We can prepare an unsoliticted public private partnership if we can identify a local representative with experience in working with state or city officials.
