Proposal: Bringing Edutainment to Prime-time TV in China Contest: Shifting Attitudes and Behaviors Thank you for your contest entry, Bringing Edutainment to Prime-time TV in China. We appreciate your willingness to share your ideas, and also the time and effort you put into developing a proposal and submitting it to the
. As your entry did not sufficiently address some of the revisions the Judges were hoping to see, we did not advance it to the next round of competition. We encourage you to keep developing your idea. Transfer your proposal to a Workspace to re-open it, make edits, add collaborators, and even submit it into a future contest. You can do so by logging into your account, opening your proposal, selecting the Admin tab, and clicking “Move proposal.” We welcome you to stay involved in the Climate CoLab community: support and comment on proposals that have been named Finalists, and vote during the public voting period to help select the contest’s Popular Choice Winner. Climate CoLab will be opening more contests throughout the year and you are welcome to submit your proposal to those contests as well. Keep up the great work. We hope that by working together, we all can create solutions that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. Sincerely, Contest Fellows If there are additional comments from the Judges & Fellows, they will be included below.

We would like to hear more explanation about the landscape in your country so all readers and prospective investors can understand wether any hurdles exist. By the same token, delineate recent advances in China that might augur an accelerated adoption of climate solutions among an engaged population. There’s a new story on nytimes.com about the rapid adoption of electric cars in China, reflecting a significant shift there. (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/09/business/china-hastens-the-world-toward-an-electric-car-future.html)

I love these partners: “Corporate companies with CSR programmes and television broadcast companies.” I’d like to see a list of proposed content. Name some movies you love. What are your top ten? You want to be sure to define how you will guard against “greenwashing” or propaganda, for which large companies are often criticized -- and sometimes justifiably so.

We are missing answers to Impacts/Benefits and Costs/Challenges? We suggest to take a stab at these at least. Otherwise, the proposal feels incomplete.

The implied underlying critique-- that climate-helpful content is marginalized -- is compelling -- but this project doesn't propose a plausible, executable intervention.
