Implied by the actions of this Proposal are changes to the inertia of in-actions which have not yet manifested to a degree consistent with the magnitude of the problem.
The Paris Agreement registered a formidable committment but Trump's abandonment now has action from the 'leader of the free world' in question.
The Key benefits of a Debate are to end confusion. As long as the majority of voters are confused or indifferent this immense problem will continue to vex us. In the words of our current President, 'what do you have to lose?' What if a big enough event was orchestrated and promoted, as we know has been done, we could actually bring this topic to a conclusion?
Both sides of this Debate would bring their best and if the outcome favored the skeptics view, then so be it...and good!
Science is arguably master of the modern world and yet still remains at odds with many fundamental religious beliefs. Perhaps another huge benefit could be, thru skillful presentation of facts and reason, the enlightenmentof the global population.
