Strengths of this proposal include addressing the potential cultural barriers to the project. Though low-till or no-till is not a new idea, if culturally the practice could be spread among these communities and throughout Kenya, it's possible that the impact would be great on GHG reductions and sequestration. Cultural barriers are often the most significant barriers, even more so than technical or financial barriers. No-till agriculture certainly has benefits, but also has drawbacks, e.g weed control. More information on how these drawbacks will be handled would strengthen the proposal.
