Catalyst
| Am trying to understand the energy and material balance for this biomethanol process. Since the methane reforming reaction into CO and H2 is endothermic (that's why you need steam), you need to add heat or burn methane and "shift" the CO to CO2 to produce more CO and H2. My question is whether the resulting biomethanol produced is economically attractive (compared to other substitute products in the particular target market(s)), while ensuring favourable energy and carbon balances? |
