Land for Life: An alternative to slash-and-burn in the world’s rain forests by Inga Foundation: Land for Life team

This looks as if it has greater potential to combat climate change than anything else I've seen. We have to feed people and somehow protect forests, but here we actually have a system that can turn ruined land back to being highly productive and restore forest at the same time. Whatever the result of this competition might be (and there are many worthy winners in the list), it is vital that this project gets the attention it urgently deserves from the politicians who should be funding it.
