Pitch
Combine modern and traditional techniques to raise the sea water to the desert and steam it, for free energy, fresh water and salt
Description
Summary
The idea is to retreat from all the mistakes we have made and commit to the environment and climate step by step
And create an integrated model that fixes these errors and work to limit their effects, while at the same time secure all our needs so that we do not have to make a mistake again
This model is based on free energy sources (wave energy, tides, geothermal energy, water stress, solar energy) in order to pump quantities of seawater into the deserts and treat them for free electricity (goal 7 of sustainable development goals)
Freshwater extraction (target 6) and salt production
- The availability of clean water helps in the cultivation of palm near these stations and contributes to the production of more food (Objective 2)
Increasing green areas that absorb CO2 contribute to reducing climate change (Goal 13)
The production of salt and food provides employment for many communities living there (Goal 8) and contributes to the eradication of poverty (Goal 1)
- Energy, water and labor security contributes to the creation of new sustainable cities and communities (Goal 11)
The global spread of this model works to combat desertification and stop land degradation (Goal 15)
The reliance on treated seawater contributes to the reduction of groundwater depletion
Proposals
"33" A basic financing for all 17 goalsUS Carbon Price: Assigning Carbon Value Through Utilization
These proposals contribute to supporting solutions that can be adopted and achieved worldwide
What actions do you propose?
Keep as far away as possible from the use of fossil fuels
Reliance on alternative energy occupies every part of the model
The idea is to build platforms in the sea where wave-operated pumps are installed. Water is pumped into pipes that extend to basins on a high point of land just above the desert level. Water then flows into the desert by gravity and water tension, The heat from the sun and the surrounding air acquires heat during the transition to the generating station in the middle of the desert, then flows into a black boiler and when filled with hot water, the valve closes and the water turns to another boiler.
Solar thermal collectors supply the first boiler with thermal energy to convert water into vapor, generating high pressure that rotates turbines for electricity generation
- After the steam out of the turbine passes through the tubes immersed in cold water and steam condense and get distilled water
The process continues until all the water is evaporated in the boiler and then the lower valve is opened. The sediment is discharged and dispersed on a large surface to dry and the salt is extracted.
Then fill the boiler with hot water again and so on ...
We can also create basins where the pumps are installed
These ponds can reserve the tide to take advantage of the rise
It can also be used for fish farming or marine farming.
From
Order to get more food
And to achieve as much as possible the objectives of sustainable development
Who will take these actions and which types of actors are involved?
The United Nations will be the main supporter and main sponsor of these solutions
All governments will support these projects as long as they are implemented on their territory and benefit their economy and citizens
Where will these actions be taken and how could they scale?
These projects will be established in tropical and tropical countries
Especially those suffering from drought and desertification
In addition, specify the countries where these actions will be taken.
Syria
Country 2
Sudan
Country 3
Algeria
Country 4
Australia
Country 5
Libya
Impact/Benefits:
What impact will these actions have on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and/or adapting to climate change?
Each palm tree can absorb about 2 kilograms of carbon dioxide gas
Of the air of the day
The planting of 1 million trees with each of these projects can absorb approximately 2,000 tons of gas per day
We have also avoided the release of carbon dioxide from engines that generate electricity
Where we produce free clean electricity
What are the most innovative aspects and main strengths of this approach?
It is a viable solution
It is like a drug but without side effects
Costs/Challenges:
What are the proposal’s projected costs?
Costs increase or decrease depending on the size of the project that we want to build
For example, the cost of the project in Syria is estimated to be about 1,000,000 palm trees and to provide the city of Palmyra with clean energy
About $ 100 million
