This proposal may not change the world but it seems it can bring real solution to a real, even if small, community. Considering the geographical context and real impact it could have, this is a great proposal and there is a strong team. There is a good presentation from a pre-feasibility point of view, even if more details on LCOE and alternative renewable generation option in the Island should be provided.

Whereas the concept is good and well articulated, it could be made better with a strong implementation strategy. With such an advanced concept and existing technology, one would have expected a more concrete action plan, with a roadmap, milestones and specific deadlines.

Even though the topic is not new and there are many related schemes, this proposal is very well formulated and based on real, implemented experience on the ground. It is good to see also the incorporation of basin plans as part of the projects as one of the main issues with micro hydro is usually the cumulative impacts at the basin scale. These are small projects but the aggregation in a micro watershed can cause severe environmental impacts. It would be useful to have more cost and benefits information and also more details on the proposed design of the systems.

In addition, an estimate of time scale for implementation missing as well as an analysis of barriers.
